Obituary for Marshall Raymond Mobley

Marshall Raymond Mobley., age 96, of Bogart, Georgia, formerly of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born in Hiltonia, GA, to the late Ulysses Mobley and the late Maude Parker Mobley. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and United States Navy and served during World War II. Marshall was retired from the City of Atlanta Fire department with 26 years of service. He was a member of the Prince Avenue Baptist Church in Bogart, GA.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife; Katherine Ray Mobley; sisters: Thelma Dobra and Walton Haeseler; brother: Parker Mobley.

He is survived by his daughter: Marcia Tatum and her husband, Thomas; grandchild: Kasay McWhorter; step grandchildren: Scot Tatum, Nicole Tatum; great grandchildren: Mercer Rabon, Morgan Rabon, James Pierce Rabon; step great grandchildren: Zachary Dorweiler, Kade Dorweiler, Ryan Dorweiler; one niece and seven nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Rick Brittain officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
