Obituary for Joseph Woodrow Pruitt

Joseph “Joe” Woodrow Pruitt, age 71, of Douglasville passed away Wednesday, March 07, 2018. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 11, 1947 to the late James Woodrow Pruitt and the late Lyndall Baker Tipton Pruitt.  Joe worked as a stage hand with Stage Hand Union Local 41 IATSE.  He served four years in the United States Army. He was Baptist by faith. 
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Phyllis Harmon Pruitt; daughter: Brittany Kala Harland; step-daughter: Kristal Dawn Kimbrel; grandchildren: Rachael Rose Harland, Braedyn James Harland; step-granddaughter: Elexis Nicole Webb;  step-sisters: Lacy Mitchell and her husband, Bob, Sandra Glaze and her husband, Thomas; brother: Jim Pruitt and his wife, Eileen; step-brothers: Gordon Pruitt and his wife, Diane, Gary Pruitt and his wife, Rachel; several nieces and nephews; in-laws: Karen Castleberry, Mike and Deborah Harmon, Joe and Kathy Harmon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-brother, Edwin Huff and sister-in-law Janice McIntosh. 
Per his wishes, he was cremated and a memorial service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
