Obituary for Hugh Dan Camp

Hugh Dan Camp, age 74, of Douglasville passed away Friday, July 14, 2017. He was born on July 7, 1943 in Winston, Georgia to the late Oscar Frank Camp and Audrey Fountain Camp. Hugh graduated from Douglas County High School Class of 1961.He was a member of the National Guard and was a Volunteer Fireman at the Bill Arp Fire Station when it was first organized. Hugh judged Horse Shows and was a member of the American Paint Horse Association. He coached Little League Baseball for the Bill Arp Association. He retired after 45 years of service from Bellsouth and AT&T.

Survivors are his wife, Janice Phillips Camp; son, Matthew Camp; granddaughters, Taylor Camp and Alexandra Camp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joan.

Per his wishes he was cremated and the family will receive friends on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville.
