Obituary for Belinda Rowe

Belinda Rowe passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the age of 52. She was born July 11, 1965 in Ft. Knox, Kentucky to the late Zachery Goodwin and the late Dorothy (Duncan) Goodwin.
She travelled to interesting places across the United States with her military family, including Alabama. Her family moved to Irvington, Kentucky where she later met her husband, George A. Rowe in 1984. They were married at Claire Methodist Church in Irvington on July 26, 1987, and for better or worse, in sickness and in health, the two stayed together for over 30 years. They brought to their union three children, Ellis, Britney and Felicia Rowe. She honored her vows until the day she died.
Belinda was also a military wife, as well as a homemaker--and I put emphasis on homemaker. She made her house into a home! If you ever visited Belinda, you thought you were walking into a showroom. Her taste was impeccable! She loved decorating her home, but what she loved most was her family: her husband, her children and grandchildren. She was loving and a kind woman. She loved to dance, sing and was always laughing. She was kindhearted; she would always put someone else's needs before her own. She will be greatly missed by her family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zachery and Dorothy (Duncan) Goodwin and her brother, Zack Goodwin, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, George Rowe; son, Ellis M. Rowe of Douglasville; daughters, Britney Rowe and Felicia Rowe both of Douglasville; stepson: Tyrone Cox of Radcliff, Ky.; two grandsons: Ayden Ayres and Mason Ayres; five sisters: Debra Goodwin, Wanda Dempster, Sandra (Willie) White; Darlene (Leon)Blake, and Michelle Goodwin; one brother: Anthony Goodwin; father-in-law: Marvin Rowe; two sister-in-laws: Angela Rowe of Carrollton and Sarah Clay of Radcliff, Ky.; two brother-in-laws: David Rowe of Atlanta and Lee Marvin (Rhonda) Rowe of Carrollton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Pastor Nell Sanderson officiating. Interment will be Monday, September 18, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
The Wake will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
