Obituary for Aline Lamoyne Wallace

Mrs. Aline Lamoyne Ralls Wallace, age 95, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, October 15, 2018.  She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 24, 1923, the daughter of the late Edward William Ralls and the late Cora Castleberry Ralls.

The majority of her life was spent in the North Georgia Mountains in and around Mineral Bluff, Blue Ridge and McCaysville. She was formerly a member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville, Georgia where she was very involved with the WMU and was their former President. She is the last surviving founding member of the First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs, Georgia.

Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker and loved flowers, jewelry, watching birds, and sewing clothes for her children & grandchildren.  She was a very godly lady who was known for her kindness and gentleness.  She loved, and was loved by, everyone she met. She enjoyed baking homemade goodies for her family, friends, and those who were home bound. She only saw the good traits in people and never spoke ill of anyone. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband: Herbert V. Wallace; her son, Scott V Wallace; her sister, Billie Kathryn Knebel Robinson and her son-in-law, James Lee Knight.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Mary Gail Knight of Douglasville, GA, and Sally Ann & Jim Akins of Lenoir City, TN; grandchildren: Laura Knight Pope and her husband, Matt, Amy Beth Akins, Nathan Allen Ashton and his wife, Amanda, and Jenny Cie Wallace Ray; great grandchildren: Matthew Andrew Pope, William Lee Pope, Micaiah Kendi Ashton, Caden Hosannah Ashton, Charles Ray, and Emily Ray.

The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville, GA on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, from 5:00-8:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs with Reverend Mike Sinyard and Chaplain Lt. Col. Don Bickers, USAF (retired). Music will be rendered by Keith Chandler.
