Sharon Ryan, age 51, of Douglasville, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013. She was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad on February 13, 1962 to George Chang and Evalina Edwards. She worked for the Georgia Department of Revenue and attended The Church at Chapel Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Merry Villafana of Douglasville; mother and step-father, Evalina and Rafael Edwards; father, George Chang; children, Emilio Villafana, Jordan Villafana and Sydney Villafana of Douglasville; sisters, Andrea Smart, Sherry Ann Denny and Raquel Drayton of Trinidad; brother Rawle Ryan of Trinidad; mother-in-law, Isadora Villafana of Trinidad; close friends, Alison Murray of New York, Cheryl Jiminez of Douglasville, Jonathan and Marisol Joseph of Douglasville, Dereck Herbert, Mark Chang, Ruth Ann Ramcharan, Joann Leung Chee, Jackie Elcock, Cynthia Sterling of Rockland City, Hazel from Trinidad, all friends from Trinidad; sister-in-law, Melita Ryan; and many other good friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 7:00 PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Reverend Grady Morris officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

In accordance with her wishes her body will be cremated.
