Life Legacy
Wilma L. Fountain Young, age 88 of Douglasville, passed away, Tuesday, January 22, 2013. She was born October 15, 1924 in Douglas County to the late Henry Fountain and Meddie Nation Fountain. She worked during her career as a computer technician for the insurance industry. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Douglasville.
In addition to her parents, Henry Fountain and Meddie Nation Fountain, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Aubrey Young; sisters: Buna Reynolds and Velma Truett and brother Marvin Fountain.
Survivors are two nephews: Verlyn Reynolds, Robert J. Reynolds, Cousin Nadene and Charles Pritchard of Douglasville and other cousins.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. John Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Mike Ackerman, Steve Lilly, Joe Sanchez, Jack Clower, Reed Garmon and Lance Garmon. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Verlyn Reynolds and Charles Pritchard.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 5-9PM at the funeral home.
