Life Legacy
Roy Eugene Parris, age 50 of Austell, passed away, Wednesday, December 19, 2012. He was born January 3, 1962 in Atlanta to the late Alvin C. Parris and Marie Payne Parris. He worked as an office furniture builder for the warehouse and manufacturing industry. He was a member of the Lithia Springs Church of God.
In addition to his parents, Alvin C. Parris and Marie Payne Parris he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Tony Money.
Survivors are his wife of 29 years, Ronda Jean Story Parris of Austell; sons: Clifton Parris and Colby “C.J.” Parris, both of Austell; sister-in-law: Erica Morris of Mableton, brother-in-law: Mitchell Story of Florida; mother-in-law and spouse: Carolyn and Larry Rogers of Mableton; father-in-law: Render Story of Atlanta; sisters and brother-in-law: Janetta Moss, Teresa and Greg Hensley, all of Temple, Deborah Money of Bremen; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ray Dean Parris of Cartersville; William Virlyn Parris of Bremen, Charles and Nema Parris of Temple, Bobby Parris of Temple, Clinton Avery and Christie Parris of Eastman, GA; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with and Pastor Mark Stroud officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Austin Wallace, Robert Overton, Greg Bruce, Billy Hawkins, Malcolm Woods, Sr., Malcolm Woods, Jr., and Christian Parris.
The family will receive friends, Friday, December 21, 2012 from 12 Noon until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated following the service.
