Biography

Dorothy “Dot” Barron Cheatham, age 91 of Douglasville, passed away, Thursday, December 29, 2011. She was bon in Douglas County, GA , August 19, 1920 to the late Henry Head Barron and Lily Mae Hudson Barron. She worked as a file clerk for Norfolk Southern Railway for thirty-six years and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church for 91 years.

In addition to her parents, Henry Head Barron and Lily Mae Hudson Barron, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Joe Barron.

Survivors are her husband of 66 years, C. L. Cheatham and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Powers and Pastor Jeff Childers officiating. Music will be rendered by Pam Childers and the choir. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with the Deacons serving as Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, December 31, 2011, at the Church, from 12 Noon until the service hour of 2:00 PM.
