Life Legacy
Christine Bell Powell, age 84, of Douglasville, passed away on Sunday, Dec 25, 2011 at Wellstar Community Hospice in Austell. She was born on Jul 15, 1927 in Douglas County, Georgia the daughter of the late Monroe Luke and Irene Williams. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Douglasville and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Bell; daughter-in-law, Nancy Bell; brother, Irvine Williams and sister, Ruth Camp.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Buddy and Wanda Bell of Winston, Bill Terry Bell, Judy and Phillip Vaughn, Danny Bell, Frankie and Pam Bell, Anthony Bell, all of Douglasville, Cindy and Steve Crumley of Winston; twin sister and her husband, Geraldine and Clifford Auth of Douglasville; brother, Johnny Williams of Douglasville; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral service for Christine Bell Powell, age 84 of Douglasville, will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 12:30 P.M. from Hightower's Memorial Chapel with Reverend Steve Laughman officiating. Interment will follow in the Ephesus Cemetery with Lee Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, Scott Vaughn, Robbie Bell, Matt Dankert, Dusty Bell and Charlie Harris serving as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 27, 2011 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 12:00 - 9:00 P.M.
