Life Legacy

James “Jim” Richard Pope, age 63 of Villa Rica, passed away, September 22, 2011. He was born October 12, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Ralph Everette Pope and Eunice Baker Pope. He worked during his career as a warehouse supervisor for the Saddle Creek Corporation, most recently he was disabled. He was a Veteran of the US Army, Vietnam Conflict and was Methodist by faith.

Survivors are his wife, LaVonne White Pope of Villa Rica, daughter: Aimee’ Pope of Phoenix, AZ; sons and daughter-in-law: Jimmy and Retta Pope of St. Louis, MO, Jason & Jennifer Rogers of Villa Rica, Michael and Tonya Rogers of Prattville, AL; sisters and brothers-in-law: twin, Janet and John Hofer of Morristown, TN, Barbara and John Lutz of St. Louis, MO; brother and sister-in-law: Ralph and Maxine Pope of Cummings, GA; grandchildren: Ethan Pope, Dylan Rogers, Britteny Rogers and Madeline Rogers; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Phyllis and Dennis Potts of Lithia Springs; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Music will be rendered by Shawn McDougal.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 1:00PM until the service hour of 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
