Life Legacy
Dorothy Camp Pate, 87, of Fairplay passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011. She was born in Douglas County on April 10, 1934 to the late Gordan Camp and Katie Alexander Camp. She was retired from Merita Bakery. She was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church in Fairplay.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Pate.
She is survived by her daughter and spouse, Diane and Richard Urban of Douglasville; son and spouse, Charles and Marlene Pate of Winston; sister, Elsie Pinyan of Winston; brothers, Winfred Camp and Frank Camp, both of Winston; grandchildren, Kevin Pate, Stephanie Urban, Andalee Eason, Ryan Robertson; four great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, and church family.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from Faith Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Littleton officiating and Jesse Camp, Jeff Camp, Ronald Camp, Kevin Pate, Danny Pate and Johnny Robinson serving as pall bearers.
Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
