Douglas Wayne Pitts, 68, of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011. He was born on September 20, 1942 in Greenville, Alabama to Edna Pitts and the late Oliver T. Pitts. He worked as a truck driver and was Baptist by faith.
In addition to his father, Oliver T. Pitts, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Janie Robinson, Jeanette Cannon and one brother, Johnny Pitts.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Pitts; mother, Edna Pitts of Smyrna; daughter, Lisa Pitts of Douglasville; son, Douglas McJordan of Cedar Key, Florida; granddaughter, Jazmyne Pitts; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law: Thurmond and Alice Parks, Gary and Martha Lynn Parks, Robert and Linda Freeman; several nieces and nephews; very close friends, Charlie and Lynn Martin.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 11:00 am from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Reverend Tommy Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
