Life Legacy
Christine M. Connally, 92, of Douglasville passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011. She was born in Powder Springs, Georgia on November 25, 1918. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Powder Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Connally; parents, Grady and Willie Mae Giles McTyre; brother, J.C. “Jake” McTyre; sisters, Montine Watkins and Charlotte McTyre.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Elaine Connally, Calvin and Janet Connally, all of Douglasville; sisters, Glennis Rollins of Dallas, Ann and Huelon Little of Douglasville; grandchildren, Thomas Connally II, Jonathan Connally, William and Stephanie Connally, Lisa Ray, Lana and Barry Matthews, Eric & Heidi Gilliam; great grandchildren, Justin Ray, Lindsey Ray. Erin Matthews, Zachary Matthews, Lilyan Gilliam.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Hills Baptist Church Cemetery in Powder Springs, Georgia with Reverend Lamar Rackley officiating. Barry Matthews, William Connally, Jonathan Connally, Thomas Connally II, Zachary Matthews and Justin Ray will be serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 22, 2010 from 12:00 until 1:00 pm at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring to do so may make donations to Pleasant Hills Baptist Church of Powder Springs General Fund, 2433 Brownsville Road, Powder Springs, Georgia, 30127.
