Life Legacy
Cherry Elaine Gresham, age 65, passed away on Saturday, October 09, 2010. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 5, 1945 to William and Gladys Willoughby. She worked as a substitute teacher in Paulding, Cobb and Douglas Counties. She was a member of the Calvary Church of God.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers R. P. Willoughby and Billy Willoughby.
She was survived by her husband, Jack Gresham of Douglasville who passed away later in the same day.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Alisha Gresham, Jr. of Douglasville; sisters, Ruth Sarris of Powder Springs and Faye Barber of Douglasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete and Barbara Willoughby of Powder Springs and Joe and Dot Willoughby of Smyrna; grandchildren, Cassidy Gresham and Jackson Gresham; and nieces and nephews who were like her own children.
Homegoing services will be conducted Monday, October 11, 2010, at 3:00 pm from Calvary Church of God with Pastor Randy Locke officiating.
Interment will follow in the Barber Family Cemetery in Mableton, Georgia.
The family will receive visitors at the church from 1:00 until 3:00 on Monday.
