Life Legacy

Mrs. Gladys Boswell Rogers, age 90, of Douglasville, formerly of Atlanta, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010. She was born on October 26, 1919 in Porterdale, Georgia, the daughter of the late George and Mildred Boswell. She worked in Quality Control for Arrow Shirt Company for many years and was most recently a homemaker. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Douglasville, She was a member of the Inman Lodge #637, Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Grady Rogers, Sr.; grandson, Patrick Rogers; brother, Clyde Boswell; sisters, Jewell Payne and Thelma Helton.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Mary Rogers of Douglasville, Kenneth I. and Sharon Boswell of Flagler Beach, Florida and William Grady Rogers, Jr. of Atlanta; grandchildren; Brenda Carnes, Deborah Hudson, both of Douglasville, Wade Rogers of Villa Rica; Vivian Decker of Coupeville, Washington, Brian Boswell and Wayne Boswell, both of Jacksonville, Florida; three great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 2:00 PM from Hightower's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wayne Bray and Rev. Tom Paine officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens, Mableton.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 8, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
