Life Legacy
Mrs. Meda Ledford Forrester, age 98, of Douglasville, Georgia formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010. She was born on June 11, 1912 in Jonesboro, Georgia, daughter of the late Marshall Grant and Christine Gabriel Ledford. She worked for Western Union for a number of years. She was a Lutheran by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl C. Forrester, Jr.; siblings, Hazel Williams, Alice Forrester and Coe Brown Ledford.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Joe and Susan Forrester and Carl C. and Janet Forrester, III all of Douglasville, Christine and William R. Martin of Fair Play, South Carolina and John Wayne and Libby Forrester of Alexander City, Alabama; great nieces and nephews, Carl W. Martin, Christopher M. Martin, Ashley Marlow, Adam Forrester, Shannon Watts and Alice Thompson; several great great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 4:00 pm from Woodlawn Cemetery, Knoxville, TN with Pastor Derek Roberts officiating.
