Life Legacy
Runell Tharp Virginia Penny Solomon, age 62 of Pelham, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 21st, 2010 in Douglasville, Georgia as the result of an auto accident. Born June 6th, 1948 in Ruskin, Florida, to the late Arthur Lee and Lucy Louise (Hykes) Tharp, she had been a resident of Pelham for the past four years, coming from Clearwater, Florida. She was a former store manager for Dillard's in Douglasville and was a former resident of Chipley.
Survivors include two Sons; Michael Penny and his Wife; Heidi of Pelham, Ga. and Greg Penny of Phoenix City, Ala., three Sisters: Betty Foxworth, Sharlyn Tharp and Joyce Carter all of Chipley, three Grandchildren; Christopher Penny, Kaitlyn Penny and Matthew Johnson, her Step-Mother; Daisy Tharp and a step-Brother; Ronnie Wright.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 24th, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. in the Rock Hill Church with the Rev. Cloys Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel.
