Virginia Joette Garner Davis, age 59 of Douglasville, passed away June 13, 2010. She was born August 8, 1950 to the late Robert Lee Garner and Ruth Glenese Fowler Garner. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Jane Slay, and brothers, Charles Elmer Garner and Roy Lee Garner.

Survivors include her husband, John Stanley Davis of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law: Suzie and Tim Pruitt of Macon; son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Barbie Franklin of Carrollton and step-son and spouse: John and Barbara Davis, Jr., of Douglasville; sister: Wanda Shannon and spouse of Covington; niece and caregiver, Getra Bowley and husband, Chris Bowley; grandchildren: Timothy Pruitt, Jennifer Pruitt, Bryce Pruitt, Kyle Franklin, Ensley Franklin, Bailey Joe Franklin, Kayla Davis and Brittany Davis.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Shattles officiating. Interment will follow in the Mozley Memorial Gardens, Lithia Springs.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
at the funeral home.
