Life Legacy
Katherine Leona Evans Pittman, age 77 of Douglasville, passed away, February 21, 2010. She was born March 4, 1932 to the late Robert Travis and Annie Laura Clayton Evans. She worked as a legal secretary, later was a homemaker and of the Church of God Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Fay Bagwell and brother, Melvin Jackson Evans.
Survivors are her husband of sixty four years, James Edward Pittman, daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Carol and Daryl Couch, son and daughter-in-law, Steven Wayne and Scharon Pittman, son: Michael Timothy Pittman, all of Douglasville; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 2:00PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Reverend David Greshams and Reverend Ed Ford officiating. Music will be rendered by Bertice Sewell and Roy Karr. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Steven Pittman, Jr., Tony Lovins, David Couch, Cliff Couch, Heath Couch and Steven Hiers serving as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
