Life Legacy
Mrs. Geraldine Williams Auth, age 84, of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012. She was born in Douglasville on July 15, 1927, the daughter of the late Luke Monroe Williams and the late Irene Twilley Williams. She retired from Marietta Drapery as a Seamstress. She loved sewing, doing crafts, going to yard sales and was an avid Atlanta Braves’ fan. She was a Catholic.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Christine Bell Powell, brother, Ervin Williams and sister, Ruth Camp.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Clifford Auth of Douglasville; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Mike Buckner and Pam and Stuart Sarratt, all of Douglasville; brother, Grover “Johnny” Williams of Douglasville; grandchildren, Brian Glover, Michelle Buckner, Collin Sarratt and Taylor Sarratt; close family friends, Chrissy and Steve Eckman and Ray and Linda Lily; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 2:00 pm from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Reverend Terry Braswell officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Brian Glover, Jason Stone, Anthony Bell, Bobby Camp, Tim Williams and Ray Lilly serving as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm.
