Obituary for Sarah Frances Lackey

Sarah Frances Lackey, age 81, of Douglasville passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018. She was born in Sand Mountain, Alabama on May 25, 1936 to the late Solomon Butler and the late Ruby Kay Morris Butler. Sarah formerly worked for Walmart where she worked in shipping and receiving. She was a member of Tabernacle of Faith Church in Douglasville.
In addition to her parents, Sarah was also preceded in death by brothers, J.D. Butler, Freddy Butler and Frank Butler.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Lackey; daughters, Deborah Dees and husband David, Gwen Wegman; grandson, Jason Duke; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville with Reverend Jerris Flowers officiating.
Interment will follow in the Douglasville City Cemetery.
