Obituary for S. W. Sanders Wheeler Giles

"S.W." Sanders Wheeler Giles, age 74, of Douglasville passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was born in Jonesboro, Georgia on May 8, 1942 to the late James Ottis Giles and the late Annie Ruth Shipp Giles. He was a retired carpenter for Ideal Fire Repair and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Austell, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Vaughn Giles; daughters, Melissa Black and husband Jim, Pam Stouffer and husband Harry; son, Russell Giles; step-children, Larry Grizzle and wife Dena, Ricky Grizzle and wife Vicki, Chuck Vaughn and wife Pam, Eric Vaughn; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine Byrd and husband Jack; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-son, Billy Vaughn; sister, Betty Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville with Reverend Bill Shattles and Reverend Greg Hogan officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 15, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
