Obituary for Larry Collins Hendon

Larry Collins Hendon, age 72, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born on December 4, 1944 in Austell, Georgia, son of the late D.C. Hendon and the late Dorothy Mae Carter Hendon. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and Larry retired as a General Contractor. He was an avid fisherman and Mason, a member of the Douglasville,Lodge, and was Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Hendon; daughter, Debbie Streetman and her husband, John; grandsons, Colby Hendon and Dustin Streetman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Colby Hendon, and his brother, Steve Hendon.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 5, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 6, at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Reverend Terry Marbut and Reverend Ikey Watson officiating. Interment will follow the service in Rosehaven Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers; John Palmer, Mike Axley, Leon Vinson, Dustin Streetman, Scott McDuff, John Streetman, Brian O'Hern, and Johnny McDuff.
