Obituary for Katherine "Kat" Louise Thompson

Katherine "Kat" Louise Thompson, age 54, of Winston, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017.

Kat was a lover of animals, the water, and good snack food. She believed a girl could never have too many pair of shoes and was always up for a day long trip of thrift shopping or bargain hunting. Kat's witty sense of humor and quirky personality meant that she seldom, if ever, met a stranger. She believed birthdays were worth celebrating and gardens were meant for getting your hands dirty. Kat loved spending time with her friends and was always up for an adventure. She had a lifelong love of reading, a creative talent for writing, and the ability to make her granddaughters giggle at her imaginary stories.

Kat was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Thompson; children; Taylor Melton and husband, Jason; James Thompson and wife, Lauren, Justin Thompson and Emma Thompson; grandchildren: Baizlee Thompson, Carden Melton, Collin Melton and Brooke Thompson; mother: Billie Cannon; father; Tom Reidenbach; sisters: Heather Comer and husband, D, Misty Golden and husband, Shane; brothers: Tom Reidenbach and wife, Vicki, Matthew Reidenbach; several nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, she was cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at 11:00 am at Church at Chapel Hill with Rev. Grady Morris officiating.
