Obituary for Copeland Nathan Jenkins

Copeland Nathan Jenkins, age 86, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. He was born on June 26, 1930 in Griffin, GA, son of the late Nathan Lee Jenkins and Abby Ann Malone Jenkins. Copeland retired from International Paper Company and then was a barber with Jenkins Barber Shop in Mableton and Douglasville until retirement. Copeland was a Mason in the Leland Masonic Lodge. He was a former deacon of Kenwood Baptist Church in Smyrna, Georgia and was a member of Believer’s Church in Douglasville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Copeland is survived by his wife, Perline Jenkins; son: Nathan Jenkins and his wife, Linda; daughter: Debra Mote and husband, Ronnie; son: Mike “Santa Mike” Jenkins and wife, Judy; eleven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Gene Evans and Pastor Michael Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
