Obituary for Charles Winton Watson

Charles Winton Watson, age 79, of Douglasville, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017. He was born on July 24, 1937 in Murphy, NC, son of the late Albert Watson and the late Mary Jane Coleman Watson. Charles retired after 37 years with Sears-Roebuck Company. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Prays Mill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Headrick Watson; brothers, Sheridan Watson, Max Watson, Johnnie Watson, and Wendell Watson; sisters, Nora Raper, Mildred Lovingood, and Willa Mae Harris; granddaughter, Corie Watson.
He is survived by his sons, Donald Watson, Villa Rica, Ronald & Lisa Watson, Douglasville; grandchildren, Chandler Watson, Villa Rica, Carlee Watson, Douglasville, Sheena Wade, Douglasville, Cody Daniell, Winston; great-grandson, Memphis Lopez, Douglasville; sisters, Ellen McNabb, Smyrna, GA, and Sue & T.L. McNabb, Murphy, NC; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 28, at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Reverend Josh Buice and Reverend Josh Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 27, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
